Recently I had a meeting with my Executive director during which we discussed my deputation account (that is where the money that is donated to my ministry goes until it becomes my paycheck) and the reality that it isn't doing as well as I had been allowing myself to believe. In fact in order for me to count myself as fully supported I need to bring in an additional $1000 dollars a month (I know the number scared me as well). So i came up with a plan . . . actually to be honest I did not come up with this idea, it is a great support raising idea I am adopting from another missionary couple faced with the task of raising support, It's a great idea I think. So here is what I hope to do in order to bring in the money I need. It's called ONE to FIFTY.
Every number from 1-50 represents a dollar amount I need in order to raise the funds needed so that my deputation account can stay in the black and I can get a paycheck each month. (So you could pick the number 25 that means that each month you will donate $25 dollars to my deputation account. Or you could pick the numbers 1 and 9 meaning each month you will donate $10. Once all of the numbers are claimed by people then you have helped me reach my fundraising goal!!)
So here's the numbers, I'll update as the numbers get taken. I recognize the great sacrifice it is that people make to enable me in this ministry, I am amazed and thankful for those of you who are already making my ministry possible. Like I said before asking for money is never fun, but I will do it if it means I can work with youth.
